Paige Evans Frame Banner Hearts Cut File

This layout is a scraplift a layout by Zsoka Marko and uses the Paige Evans Frame Banner Hearts Cut File form the Silhouette Studio.

I used a sheet of rainbow striped paper from Pink Paislee's Confetti Wishes collection for my background which was matted onto some white cardstock

I cut the heart banner from white cardstock and backed the open sections with papers from Pink Paislee's Pick Me Up collection. I hand-stitched round each heart with embroidery thread to add some definition.

Charms from the Oh My Heart collection were hung from the banner using bakers twine and die cuts, word stickers, buttons and punched hearts were also used to embellish.

I used a couple of clear stickers from one of the American Crafts Sticker books to add some interest in the centre of the layout and finished off with a scattering of sequins.

The date was added to the bottom of the layout with tiny alphabet stickers

Patchwork Layout

Last week I decided to create a scrapbook layout using a pad of 30cm x 15cm paper I bought some time ago from The Works.

I punched 2" squares from various pieces of paper and then pieced them together in a patchwork design. I used this as the base for my layout using a photograph of lara taken when she was four.

I tucked some project life cards behind the photo and cut butterflies from more of the paper. These were used as embelishments as well as some foam hearts and sequins.

using my sewing machine I added a large zip zag stitch along all the patchwork squares and also glued some Card Candi to some of the intersections.

Flowers cut from more of the paper, stickers and a punched paper border were also added.

I die cut the word 'Smile' using the Silhouette Studio and glued this to the photo.

Papermaze Design Team - Heidi Swapp Pineapple Crush

This week I'm on the Papermaze blog with Heidi Swapp's  Pineapple Crush collection. I chose to create a scrapbook page using a favourite recent photo of Lara and some of the pink and black/white papers from the collection.

I trimmed a quarter of an inch off of each side of a sheet of the pineapple crush paper and matted this onto a gutted sheet of 12" x 12" black Bazzill cardstock. A narrow strip torn from the palm beach paper was glued to the left side of the layout. A 9" x  6½" piece of the south beach paper was matted onto black Bazzill cardstock and placed on the background with 3D foam. For some added softness, my photo was first matted on several layers of pale pink tissue paper and then various pieces of paper from the collection.
paper doilie and a hand made tag were tucked behind the left edge of the photo mats.

For my title I used a Heidi Swapp White Acetate Word and black Simple Stories Sn@p Letter Stickers. A punched paper heart was glued above the title.

Near the bottom of the layout I hung bunting made from scalloped circles punched from some of the papers and some twine. A pink button was glued at each end.

I machine stitched with white thread round the edge of the layout, on some of the paper layers and across the bunting.

The date and Lara's name were added with Websters Pages The Good Life Little Letters Stickers .

A few sequins were used to embellish the photo.

I finished my layout with some word strips, a scattering of sequins & seed beads and a splattering of some black spray mist.

Birthday Card

It was my friend Lynn's birthday recently and I decided to make her a card. Several years ago I made an almost identical card to this and really liked how it turned out, so decided to make a copy, in different colours, for Lynn.

I used some Prima papers and lots of sewing themed embelishments - printable button cards, scissors charm, thread wrapped round a die cut spool, pins, a crochet dollie and tape measure washi tape.

My sentiment from Craftwork Cards was mounted on a die cut scalloped circle. I also machine stitched around the edge of the paper for even more texture.
