Papermaze Design Team - Carta Bella Spring Market 2

Today I am on the Papermaze blog with another scrapbook layout using Carta Bella's Spring Market collection.

My layout features a photo of Lara taken just before she was about to play in some puddles at Gibraltar Point a few years ago.

I die cut, using a cut file from the Silhouette Studio, a pair of wellies from the pink patterned paper. I backed the open parts with patterned paper and some green Bazzill cardstock.

I trimmed a sheet of the floral patterned paper to roughly 11.5", distressed the edged and matted this onto a sheet of deep pink Bazzill cardstock. I machine stitched round two of the edges using gold thread.

So that my photo could be tucked underneath some of the flowers printed on the paper, I sliced round the edges of some of the flowers using a craft knife.

My wellies were stuck on the right side of the page and were 'filled' with lots of flowers and leaves  which were fussy cut from patterned paper. Some of the flowers were popped-up on 3D foam and sequins were added to the centres of the flowers for extra interest.

To complete my layout I used a mixture of die cut letters and some stickers from Simple Stores collections for my title which was a quote found on Pinterest.

Paige Evans Heart Wreath Cut File

I recently decided to make a scrapbook layout using one of the Paige Evans cut files from the Silhouette Studio and a photograph of Lara taken at home when she was about 18 months old.

I cut the heart wreath from white cardstock and then backed it with lots of scraps of brightly coloured paper from my scrap bag. This took quite some time but I was pleased with the finished result.

I then printed my photo at A4 size and cut it to fit in the centre of the wreath.

I used a sheet of 12x12 paper from the Dear Lizzy Serendipity Collection for my base and to add some texture I machine stitched several large circles in white thread onto the paper before attaching the wreath.

The wreath and photo where mounted on foam before sticking onto the background.

I added several die cuts with cute words on them on top of the wreath.

I finished my layout with a scattering of tiny white cardstock hearts which were stuck round the outside of the wreath.

Beach Huts

I've been playing around with this layout for quite some time. I don't get much time to scrapbook and seldom create a layout in one sitting. I usually start a layout, leave it where I can see it and then return to it when I have time or when inspiration strikes.

For this very simple layout I used papers from My Minds Eye's 'The Sunny Side' collection. I've had the collection since 2012 when I won it in a give away on the My Minds Eye blog. I've created two other layout with the collection since then and also some cards and still have load left. I love stash busting but it's taking me quite a while to use up all of this collection.

My layout used two photos of the brightly coloured beach huts at Wells Next the Sea.

I cut hexagons from the patterned paper and stitched these onto a white cardstock background.

Bunting made from more of the patterned paper and bakers twine was added to the left side of the layout and I used tiny alphabet stickers resting on the bunting for the name of the place where the photos were taken.

At the bottom of the layout I stuck a chipboard border from the collection and a shorter part of another chipboard boarder was stuck at the top.

My layout was completed by adding various word strips on the right side. These were from various sticker sheets - Simple Stories, etc. and where chosen because the colours co-ordinated with the layout and the words were appropriate.

Papermaze Design Team - Carta Bella Spring Market

I have a scrapbook layout this week on the Papermaze blog using the Carta Bella Spring Market collectionI choose to use two photos of Lara taken many years ago when she was 'helping' with the gardening.

I started with a 12x12 white Bazzill cardstock base which I trimmed slightly and matted on the
pink patterned paper. A horizontal strip of the 'Market Planters' paper and thin strips of the wood grain paper were glued near the bottom of the layout and a square of the pink paper. I machine stitched with black thread around the edge of the layout and edge of the pink square.

My 4x6 photos were matted on the woodgrain paper and stuck to the layout using 3D foam to add some dimension.

I fussy cut lots of flowers and leaves from the
'Market Floral'paper and used these to create clusters on three corners of the photos.

I added some Studio Calico wood veneer butterflies, a tiny fussy cut trowel, brads from Simple Stories Domestic Bliss collectionstickers and die cuts.

In the top right corner I created a banner using paper flags from the die cut pack, wood veneer hearts and another fussy cut flower. I machine stitched across the top of the banner.

My layout was completed with a title die cut from the woodgrain paper and I added computer printed journalling strips at the bottom.

New Home Card

I few weeks ago a friend of mine moved house so I made her a very simple little card to wish her well.

In my stash I found a cute house image on one of the cut apart sheets from the Simple Stories '100 Days of Summer' collection and stuck this onto a card blank.

I mounted some of the alphabet stickers from the collection onto 3D foam to spell out 'Good Luck in Your New Home' and also popped some of the flower stickers up on foam to embellish.

A very quick easy card to put together but quite effective.
