Scrapology - September Card Challenge

Linda has set the monthly card challenge on the Scraology blog this month and 'Anything Goes'. Create whatever card you want using whatever supplies you want.

I decided to make a card using one of the images from a Lili of the Valley 'Jack, Patch and Puss' coloured Art Pad. I chose an image of Patch and Puss!

To make my card I used a 5x7 card blank, Karft cardstock, Free paper from Crafts Beautiful Magazine, Foam Giltter Stars from Poundland and some 'Candi' and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

I love mixing bought quality craft supplies with freebie and supplies bought from discount stores!

Hope over to Scrapology to see all the team's cards and for full details of the challenge.

Scrapology - September Layout Challenge

This month on Scrapology the team have taken inspiration from a lovely layout by Robyn Schaub and we challenge blog readers to also create a layout based on Robyn's layout incorporating three photos.

For my layout I used three photos taken over five years ago at a local steam fayre when Lara was enjoying the Bungee Trampoline.

I used kraft cardstock for the base and then on top of this I layered a sheet patterned 'sky' paper from October Afternoon's Woodland Park collection. Other patterned paper from Dream Street, Basic Grey and Prima were also used to make the photo mats. The page was embelished with luggage labels, Studio Calico wood veneer butterflies, washi tape, Thickers alphabet stickers and adhesive pearls.

Here is Robyn's beautiful layout  .......

...... and Lynn's sketch.

Do hop over to the Scrapology blog to see all the team's layouts and find all the details of the challenge and the prize on offer.

Summer Holiday Craft - Day 12 (01/09/14)

Summer Craft has been a bit sporadic this last week or so with days spent with friends and family leaving no time for craft.

But today we found time for Lara to do some more sewing using another free magazine sewing kit.

Using the MDF templates she made a hanging dog ornament.

Summer Holiday Craft - Day 11 (27/08/14)

Today Lara did some sewing.

I gave her a 'Quick Stitch Dolly' kit which came free with a copy of Crafts Beautiful magazine a few month ago.

The pieces all came printed on one piece of fabric which just needed cutting out and stitching together.

Lara was quite chuffed that I let her use the sewing machine although she needed to do the finishing off by hand.

The dress proved too tricky for her though - the pieces wouldn't match up properly so I had to sew it together for her.
