Carta Bella Our Travel Adventure - Just Plane Fun

Today on the Papermaze blog I have a second layout using Carta Bella's Our Travel Adventure collection.

For this layout about a trip to an aviation museum, I started with the journalling cards cut apart sheet but choose to use the B Side which has a ledger design. Near the bottom of the page I placed three horizontal strips of paper cut from the Travel Strips paper and also a border punched piece of navy spot washi tape.

Two 4x6 photos were triple matted as a block onto white cardstock, a piece of the Wanderlust paper and finally a piece of yellow cardstock and attached to the right side of the layout.

I made a tag from one of the Multi Journalling cards , threaded this with a piece of red bakers twine and attached it next to the photos. The twine was secured in place with some wet glue to make sure it stayed put.

The layout was embellished with Chipboard Accents from the collection.

I wanted to include an extra touch of yellow to the embellishment clusters and managed to find in my stash a yellow word strip which matched this collection perfectly.

White foam mini alpha stickers from Pink Paislee were added to one of the photos.

The title was created using navy foam mini alpha stickers from Pink Paislee and the word 'Plane' was cut from a scrap of the red patterned paper using my Silhouette. I also added three airplanes cut from one of the branding strips and three yellow Puffy Dots from Doodlebug.

Finally journalling was typed on white paper, cut into strips and glued underneath the title.

Carta Bella Our Travel Adventure - An Amazing Adventure

Today I have a layout using the new Our Travel Adventure collection from Carta Bella. This primary coloured collection is all about airplanes, tickets, passports, maps and more. It would be perfect for scrapbooking an amazing trip to some far flung place but would equally be great for layouts about trips to air museums, air shows, children playing with toy planes and lots more.

In 2017 Lara won a competition at school and her prize was a flight in a vintage airplane. It was an amazing experience for her and when I saw the papers in this collection I knew they would be prefect to create a layout of that day.

I started by trimming a quarter of an inch from each side of a sheet of the Away We Go paper and then matted this onto a piece of yellow Bazzill cardstock. Using black thread I machine stitched round the edge.

Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut the 'Adventure' title cut file by Paige Evans from smooth white cardstock and backed this with scraps of yellow, red and navy blue cardstock. Using the Offset Tool in the Silhouette Studio I cut a slightly larger mat for the title from black cardstock and stuck both to the centre of the layout with 3D foam underneath to add some dimension.

I managed to squeeze five 3x4 photos onto the layout. These were matted onto black cardstock and placed round the outside of the cut file with more 3D foam underneath.

The title was completed with the addition of letters cut from red fun foam.

The sheet of chipboard accents were perfect for embellishing the layout. I added an airplane and banner at the bottom of the layout....

..... a camera to the left ....

.... and an arrow on one of the photos to pinpoint the plane in the sky.

I found a few wood veneer airplanes in my stash and used these to embellish the title.

Finally I typed my journalling onto some white paper, cut it into strips and attached these to the left of the layout, staggering them to give extra interest.

Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sunkissed - Sweet & Sassy

Today I have a final layout using Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Sunkissed collection on the Papermaze blog. Among the bright zesty coloured papers in the collection, there is a gorgeous woodgrain patterned paper called Just Chillin and that paper is the base for the layout I'm sharing with you today.

I started by trimming an eighth of an inch off of each side of the Just Chillin paper and matted this on a sheet of white Bazzil cardstock. Using white thread I then machine stitched a straight stitch round the edges.

Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut the 'Heart Background' cut file by Paige Evans from smooth white cardstock and backed this with the Sunny Days and Growing Wild papers. The backed cut file was then attached to the layout with 3D foam underneath to raise it up.

My photo was matted on white cardstock and placed on top of the cut file with a white paper doilie tucked underneath. I also tucked two pocket cards underneath the photo to give a grounding for the title.

The title was cut twice, once a second sheet of the Just Chillin paper and once from black cardstock. By layering the two pieces on top of each other but slightly offset, it created a shadow effect and made the title stand out more.

A sub title was created using letters die cut from some pink fun foam.

I embellished the layout with some of the die cut ephemera and In my stash I found a very old flair badge which was also added. I thought the words and colour of the flair were appropriate for this layout and couldn't think of when else I might use it.

The date and place were added to the bottom left corner of the layout using clear letter stickers which I stuck onto a scrap of pink paper and then cut into separate tiles.

For a finishing touch I added a few iridescent pink sequins to the layout.
