Christmas Cards

Each Christmas I make a few cards for some of my crafty friends.

This year I used a Woodware Bubble Bloom Festive Tree stamp which was designed to used with Craftwork Cards 'Candi'

The image was stamped onto white cardstock and them embelished with different coloured Candi, adhesive gems and Stickles.

Scrapology - December Card Challenge

This  month on Scrapology , Design Team member Linda has set a colour challenge using an image she found on Stylyze.

I decided to make a Thank You card using some BasicGrey 'Infuse' patterned paper and die cuts. I matted various pieces of the patterned paper with Bazzill cardstock and them embelished the card with die cuts which were lifted with 3D foam and finished off with a large brad from Little Leaves. The sentiment was downloaded from the internet and printed on card.

Hop over to Scrapology to see the rest of the design team's cards and for full details of the challenge.

Scrapology - December Layout Challenge

This month on Scrapology the design team has taken inspiration from a layout by US scrapbooker Kimberley Van Diepen. To take part in the monthly challenge followers must create a layout with a number of features (any number) using Kimberley's layout, the pages created by the design team and the sketch provided for inspiration.

For my layout I decided to record 5 Christmas Traditions which our family have.

I used patterned papers from Cosmo Cricket's 'Be Good' collection and K&Company's 'Christmas Swirl'.

The circles on my layout were printed from the Internet onto some scraps of the Cosmo Cricket paper.

The inserted eyelets into the circles and strung them together using bakers twine and embellished them with punched fern branches. The journalling was printed onto another scrap of paper onto which I had already printed a tradition definition. The whole layout was then finished off with lots of glitter glue for added sparkle.

Here is Kimberley's original layout .....

.... and Lynn's sketch.

Please pop over to the Scrapology blog to see the rest of the teams layouts and to get full details of the challenge.
